Man Arrested In Online Sex Sting

A 44-year-old Linden man has become the 200th person to be arrested in a sting to state crackdown on internet predators, the state attorney general's office announced Wednesday.
James Scott Rogers, 44, of Linden was charged with using the Internet to commit child sexual abusive activity.

Rogers was arrested Aug. 25 after allegedly attempting to meet with who he thought was a minor he communicated with on the Internet. Rogers was actually communicating with an undercover volunteer from the citizens' group Perverted Justice posing as a 14-year old girl, authorities said.

Rogers also was charged with two felonies for allegedly sending sexually explicit photos to the person he believed was a 14-year old girl
