Man, 52 Arrested In Sex Sting

Bond was set at $10,000 on Monday for a Little Rock man who drove to Crawford County seeking to have sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Circuit Judge Gary R. Cottrell ruled there was enough evidence to hold Ellis Trice, 52, who was arrested July 2 for Internet stalking of a child. Cottrell set a July 16 arraignment date for Trice, who said he had planned to hire a Little Rock attorney to represent him.

Trice was arrested after Detective Donald Eversole posed as a 14-year-old girl chatting on the Internet. Trice allegedly said he wanted to have sex with the girl and arranged a meeting, according to Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Robert Presley.

As Trice walked to the door of a residence at a residence he was given, he was arrested, Presley said.
