Sadly I've yet to hear anything back from yahoo after reporting it directly to the Yahoo Abuse & Harrassment under yahoo help.
Even worse... the police department here in san jose made light of it, and said it's just here say.
I pray this creep really didn't have anyone with him and that he was just trying to get a rise out of me.
I'm not sure where else I can go or do to report this... There should be ways to track down IP Addresses and track down horrible people like this.
If anyone can assist, please respond.

That amazes me that they would just shrug this off. It's no wonder why online predators continue to do this stuff; they know nothing will happen to them.

I have had problems with predators too....
But if you could track down their IP address, they could just as easily track down yours and find you, so that's the problem with IP's.

This is the only contact I had with this person on yahoo messenger.
I filed a report to Yahoo.com and never heard a thing back. The San Jose police department was no help either.
I personally wouldnt know how to go about tracking IP addresses... you would think Yahoo or any other ISP's would take situations like this more seriously and report them to the police.
On a daily basis I have creeps that message foul, sexual and offensive things to me and I usually block them. I can handle myself, and have enough common sense to not give out my personal info. I blog about a lot of them on my myspace page to let whoever comes by the ability to see who the creeps are.
Never in my life had I had someone speak of doing things to a child.
For me this situation was never resolved. Which is a shame. |

he messaged me last night.. i had a friend dig into it.. it scared the hell out of me the things he said and am not 100% sure how to go about dealing with this... i contacted yahoo abuse and such and just got a mandatory reply.... this is what he messaged me last night after he asked if i was a single mom...

Reporting it to yahoo is useless they are just helping him get away with this. This is the reply i got from them so they just brushed me off, telling me to use yahoo for kids. I've reported him to my police department. They can track his ass down if they need to.

I fought for two years to convict a predator and without our local news, KKTV.com, nothing would have been done. I fought the sheriff, who took over 6 months to arrest him, the District attorney, who pled him down to almost a misdemeanor. This guy was a clown. If I can help you in any way, let me know.
